JRE Tobacco / Aladino

JRE Tobacco is a family-centered Honduran tobacco and cigar company founded by Julio R. Eiroa and his son Justo M. Eiroa. The company manages farming, tobacco processing, manufacturing and distribution around a crop-to-shop model rooted in the Jamastrán Valley.

Its principal brands are Aladino, Rancho Luna and Tatascan. Aladino is the dominant public-facing name and the clearest expression of the company's Authentic Corojo identity, while the manufacturer record should remain JRE Tobacco so the corporate, farm and factory structure stays clear.

Julio Eiroa and the Family Tobacco Legacy

Julio Eiroa became one of the defining figures in Honduran premium tobacco, developing farms, factories and Corojo-seed cultivation that later supported the Camacho brand. His work in the Jamastrán Valley created the agricultural foundation that JRE uses today.

The Eiroa family sold Camacho to Oettinger Davidoff in 2008, but Julio retained a separate agricultural and manufacturing path. JRE is therefore related to Camacho and CLE through family history, not through present common ownership.

The 2015 Brands and 2016 Company Launch

Julio's Aladino, Rancho Luna and Tatascan lines debuted in 2015 and were initially distributed by Christian Eiroa's CLE Cigar Company. Aladino was named for an old Eiroa family movie theater whose property became associated with cigar production.

In 2016 Julio and Justo formed JRE Tobacco Co. with its own distribution, sales and marketing organization. Trade reporting described Justo as president and the new company as a fully integrated crop-to-shop operation.

Authentic Corojo and the Jamastrán Valley

JRE positions Authentic Corojo as the core of its tobacco identity. The company grows tobacco on family farms in Honduras and uses the leaf across Aladino, Rancho Luna and Tatascan in different proportions and wrapper directions.

Corojo is both an agricultural claim and a brand story, so product pages should document the exact wrapper, binder and filler rather than assume every JRE cigar is a single identical Corojo blend.

Farm, Fermentation and Manufacturing

JRE's official account says Julio and Justo manage all aspects of cigar growing and manufacturing. The company's supply chain includes the JRE tobacco farm, curing and fermentation work, box and support operations and cigar production.

Current releases identify Fabrica de Puros Aladino S.A. in Las Lomas, Jamastrán, Honduras, as the manufacturing site. Older sources also call it the Las Lomas Factory, so both names should be connected in the entity record.

JRE, CLE, Camacho and Aladino

Camacho is the earlier family-built brand now owned by Oettinger Davidoff. CLE is Christian Eiroa's separate 2012 company. JRE is Julio and Justo Eiroa's company, established with independent distribution in 2016.

Aladino is a JRE brand, not the manufacturer's legal identity. Search pages should recognize both JRE Tobacco and Aladino because smokers often search the brand name while trade and factory sources use the company name.

Ownership, Distribution and Manufacturing Model

JRE Tobacco is an Eiroa family company integrating farms, tobacco processing, manufacturing, brands and commercial distribution. Julio is co-founder, master blender and grower; Justo is co-founder and president; company reporting also identifies Vivian Eiroa in marketing and international development.

Its U.S. commercial organization has been associated with Miami, while core operations are in Honduras. The model is unusually vertical for a boutique company, but market availability, special editions and collaborations must still be verified by named release and destination market.

Aladino Corojo

Aladino Corojo is the foundational family and the clearest expression of Julio Eiroa's old-fashioned Authentic Corojo concept. The line includes many traditional sizes and should be separated from Reserva and limited editions.

Aladino Cameroon

Aladino Cameroon uses a Cameroon-seed wrapper grown in Honduras over Honduran Corojo binder and filler. The Super Toro appeared in the 2026 Cigar of the Year field, making this family especially relevant to Ashologist internal linking.

Aladino Corojo Reserva

Corojo Reserva uses selected higher-priming Corojo tobacco and has included limited formats under the Our Cuban Heritage concept. Production quantity, tobacco age and availability vary by edition.

Aladino Habano, Maduro and Vintage Directions

Aladino has expanded beyond its core Corojo wrapper through Honduran-grown Habano, Maduro and vintage-designated expressions. These products retain family-grown tobacco stories but require distinct blend records.

Rancho Luna, Tatascan and Special Releases

Rancho Luna and Tatascan complete JRE's original three-brand structure. Limited releases such as Aladino's annual, commemorative or market-exclusive projects must be treated as separate dated products.
