Ashton ESG 21 Year Salute earned Excellent Consideration for precise construction, comfortable airflow, and a smoking profile that remained composed from first light through the final inch. Its medium-full character delivered sufficient body while allowing the blend's core flavors to remain clear.
Cedar and cream established the opening, supported by toasted nuts and a measured layer of baking spice. Through the middle, honey became more noticeable while coffee added depth and continuity without disrupting the cigar's balance. The final third concentrated the wood, coffee, and spice elements into a long and composed finish.
The cigar's strongest qualities were consistency, recognizable character, and a complete premium presentation. It remained extremely close to the final field and missed selection only after direct comparison with cigars carrying a more distinctive tournament identity.
