Toro: Format and Comparisons Nica Rustica Shade Toro measures 6 × 50, making it the longest cigar in Shade’s three-format list. Short Robusto shares its ring gauge at 4 1/2 inches. Gordo is shorter at five inches and much wider at 66 ring. Shade combines Ecuador Connecticut Shade wrapper with Mexican binder and Nicaraguan, American and Dominican fillers. Adobe Toro and Broadleaf El Brujito are also six inches long, but both carry a 52 ring gauge. Shade Toro is the narrower of those three six-inch Nica Rustica formats.
